The OnlyOnePlanet Australia website:

The purpose of this site is to provide information, and links to information, related to the ethic of planetary stewardship. The site has a focus on the work of Jon Nevill (the site's founder) as well as including work (along related lines) by other concerned scientists.

Planetary stewardship is seen as encompassing responsibility for those without voices: the planet's plants and animals, future generations, and exploited peoples of the earth.

While this purpose is broad in scope, the emphasis of the site relates primarily to measures concerning the protection of freshwater and marine environmentsThe site is focused on programs and policies within the Australian government framework.  Other issues addressed include environmental assessment, environmental principles, and corporate environmental planning.

Responsibility for this site currently rests with Jon Nevill, Australian citizen.

The site has, however, been created with the expectation that, should it prove useful, responsibility will later move to an organisation or small group of scientists.
