Dreams
I felt the warmth of your body Lying beside me in the darkness My fingers found the valley of your backbone And traced its path, like water down a river "Mmmmm... " half-asleep, you rolled towards me I felt the softness of your breast, spread across your ribs A nipple firm between my finger tips "Now I'll never get back to sleep" you murmured In the darkness I could hear your smile Your lips found mine, touching at first soft as a feather Then so slowly, warm and deep... You rolled your body onto mine...
Then I awoke
Ocean Child (was she jealous?) whispered to me "Jon, it was only a dream... She could have come to you, so easily... But she never will. She's gone now, happy in another world Forget her and give yourself to me I can take you to a magic place Where there is only sea and wind and sky With all their many colours."
"How long has it been, since we watched An albatross together, gliding just above the water?"
"A long time now" I answered "Perhaps a year"
"You know why they are there, living only out of sight of land? They are there just for you, for us With their calm eyes, they keep us safe That is their wish and duty."
"Give me some sail, and the ropes And let me take you.... far away... "
I knew I could not refuse her And so we left together To seek our dreams amongst the ocean's clouds and mists...
