| Discussion of the EMR letter:
Helpful comment by Chris Richmond, NZ DoC. Jamie Pittock (WWF International) offered the following comment (10/5/05):
'A
conclusion that recommends as "the most urgent immediate
initiative" a "comprehensive national assessment" will
sound to politicians a lot like a group of researchers calling for funds
for more research. An assessment may be the top priority, but I
suggest you consider adding more tangible measures if your target is to
motivate an audience larger than the academics reading the Journal.'
No further comment has been received at this stage, apart from a few emails providing comment in a private capacity.
